Luis Enrique Rodriguez, 68, of Port Isabel, Texas, entered into eternal rest on April 22, 2014.
Luis was a lifelong resident of Port Isabel and a member of Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church. He was employed as a welder with Zimco Marine for 40 years. His favorite hobbies included making belt buckles, barbeque pits, and most of all, spending time with his grandkids. He will be dearly missed.
He was preceded in death by his son, Ricardo Rodriguez; his parents, Manuel and Bertha Rodriguez; his brother, Ruben Enrique Rodriguez; and his daughter-in-law, Marisol Rodriguez.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 45 years, Silvia Irma Rodriguez; his sons, Luis Rodriguez Jr. and Eduardo Rodriguez; daughter-in-law, Irma Erica Rodriguez; and grandchildren: Luis E Rodriguez III, Ryan Garcia, Ricky Rodriguez, Risa Garcia, Emerald Rodriguez, Marc A. Rodriguez, Eddie R. Rodriguez, and Isaiah Rodriguez. Also surviving him are his sisters, Emilia G. Rodriguez and Bertha Garduza.
A memorial mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, April 25, 2014 at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church in Port Isabel.
